TONE Series : Korean Traditional Colors

The ‘TONE series’ is inspired by the traditional colors of Korea, especially the ‘Hanbok’ which are Korean traditional clothes. I used these traditional colors and made these characteristics into art-furniture with modern sensibility. When you look at the ‘NOBANG’ which is fabric often used in hanbok, you can feel comfortable, soft, and beautiful. In such colors, I felt Korean aesthetics and designed furniture that used the atmosphere and colors. Using the book of the korean traditional colors and the actual hanbok material, I tried to create a unique atmosphere of the hanbok into my works. TONE SERIES is the object of lyrical Korean colors and modern sensibilities. It is worth more than the furniture itself. I look forward to it working as an artwork in everyday life.
