DESIGNTIDE TOKYO

PROGRAM

The MARKET aims to create a space where fragments of the exhibitors' thoughts are traded. Typically, designed objects hold value through their function and by becoming universalized in society. However, this market is a place where the thoughts that come just before that final product are exchanged.

This MARKET emphasizes the value of communication with society through acts such as purchasing and owning. As a result, the market will feature not only the exhibitors' works but also prototypes, material samples, or even objects that served as inspiration—all of which will be available for purchase. Additionally, twelvebooks, a distributor specializing in art books, will present a selection of books from various categories, encouraging further reflection on design.
